How can we reduce the heat in the ambient air?
By systematically using vegetation - absorbing carbon dioxide, improving the quality of our air, reducing our carbon footprint and lowering local temperatures.
By building green roofs and living walls, planting trees, having in place living sculptures and expanding green spaces in the city as much as possible.
The 2024 Carbon Capture Day event will feature ongoing University of Ottawa projects, a Youth Climate Action spokesperson, Enviro Centre on Tiny Forests, Organic farm grower, Just Food on community gardens, Greenspace Alliance of Canada's Capital on green success stories with artist extraordinaire Chairman George and our plant giveaway throughout our interactive quiz. Join us at Ottawa University campus on Friday, September 20th starting at 11 a.m. See you there !!
